Fun with Daddy --
Fun with Crafts --
Marble Painting -- dollar store marbles, a cookie sheet, paper and paint. We made a few splotches of paint on paper, placed some marbles on top then carefully started tipping the cookie sheet in all directions to make a picture. Alternatively, you could put the paper and marbles in a tin box, close the lid and shake it to make a design.
Learning to cut with scissors --
Paper Plate Masks --
Fun outside --
Fun with new tights --

ISAIAH'S BIRTHDAY PICS
My one-year old! :D Walking, crawling, teething, undoing things I have done, making big messes, giving me sloppy kisses, pointing, trying to talk, signing "more" and "food", climbing and being his mostly cheery self. Here are some pictures we took while celebrating his birthday. We had two small casual family dinners for the occasion.
Playing animal rescue/vet with Grandma Froese
"Yee-Haw!"
Dessert....(brigadeiros, cupcakes, and triffle)
'what is going on?'.....
Party #2 ....more brigadeiros and triffle
We love you Isaiah!

PUMPKIN CRAFTS:
I saw an idea online to use a cut apple to make pumpkin shapes. It worked so well! We painted the apple half with orange paint and then stamped our paper.
Paper Mache....
making a "spooky" expression...
creepy pumpkin doll - haha!
COSTUMES:
Myra has been waiting and waiting for "spooky day". This is the first year we have participated in halloween "traditions/customs" and between Treehouse showing halloween episodes of her favorite shows all month and neighbors decorating with blow up ghosts and pumpkin lights, Myra has fully grasped the concepts of dressing up and going door to door saying "trick or treat".
Friday night, our church had a little costume party. Myra proudly and happily wore her cow outfit. Tim was a rock star. I wore a Jester costume and wig and Isaiah was wearing a Nightwing outfit meant for a 3 or 4 year old. The picture of him crawling away makes me giggle every time :D.
Tim and Myra spent some much needed father-daughter time carving a pumpkin yesterday. We put it on our the top of our front stairs tonight, with a lit candle inside, as our way of saying, "yes, in spite of the complete lack of any halloween decorations, if you climb to the top of the stairs, candy will be handed out." :D We actually had quite a few kids come by.

We went to Spanish Banks a few weeks ago for a birthday party. It was perfectly sunny and warm and breezy. Myra absolutely loved being on the beach and played and played and played on her own. Many, many times I looked around to find her running this way and that and then laying down on the sand, then getting up and running again. I dumped out a 1/4 cup of sand from each of her shoes before we got in the car to come home. :D She had so much fun!
Lisa and Waylon and Jotham came to stay with us for a few nights at the end of August. ....so fun! :D
