DAY 5 - walking, walking, walking...

We started the day off right...with continental breakfast delivered to our room complete with freshly squeezed orange juice. Yummy!

Starting around 10:30 am, we walked around San Francisco and didn't settle back in the hotel until after 7:30 pm. We drew out our route on a map for you to see - what the map doesn't tell you is that every road is either a steep uphill or a steep downhill - needless to say, my feet are tired :)

Random pictures of the day:

...fire alarm on corner of sidewalk

..."peel-y" trees - ? related to the Vancouver arbutus trees?

...rose garden

...cable cars

...Blazing Buffalo and Ranch Doritos

...fitness initiatives along the park walkways - this one was to do chin ups

...fruit stand - I was very excited to see they were selling figs...they didn't taste nearly as good as the ones that grew in our backyard in Brazil. Also, notice that they were selling chocolate for dipping fruit. You don't see that every day :)

...mime with silver paint on face

...public toilet on sidewalk - have to pay to use it

..."Crookedest street"

...signs

...California sealions at Pier 39

...Alcatraz

...supper at Bubba Gump's - if you want the waiter to stop at your table (if you need something)

...if you're okay

...our yummy food

Myra..

I'm trying to come up with a new way to say how adorable Myra is...but can't. She's beautiful :)
Great pictures, exciting adventure. Hope your feet feel rested in the morning.

Wow - what a day. I love all your pics - hope to go to San Francisco someday myself. Myra is precious; looks like she's doing pretty good in those pictures. I hope that's the case most of the time for you. Hope your feet get rested - have a great day!

I love looking at your pictures. They should always sell dipping chocolate with fruit, maybe I'd eat more fruit then. Miss you and love you a whole bunch.

The stories she will have of all the adventures she had a such a young age. Lucky girl!

Hey guys,
Cool pictures! What a great trip! Kaelan really liked his greetings from Batman. He's taken to calling Jon, Jon Froesen, and I have to correct him every time. Make sure you eat at In N Out somewhere.
